You can find virtually any convenience you might need while travelling to Manuel Antonio. Shopping in downtown Manuel Antonio is more limited since it’s a small town. If you don’t find what you’re looking for there we recommend going to Quepos, which is just a short drive away. You won’t find a mall but you will find small stores that sell anything you might need during your trip.

El Oscars Galleria is a small and simple gallery, nothing pretentious about it. The owner Rochon displays work from well-known artists as well as lesser-known up-and-comers.

Here are a few timesaving tips when shopping for groceries and supplies in Manuel Antonio. First of all, most of the smaller and larger grocery stores in all of Costa Rica begin with the word "Super" along with one other word, or somebody's first name in the case of the smaller stores. There are also many small neighborhood convenience stores sometimes called "Pulperías" that might not have as much variety and higer prices, however they can be very convenient, especially if you’re in a hurry!

Below is a list of the larger grocery and convenience stores in and around the Manuel Antonio area. At these stores you can purchase different things from sun tan lotion, to basic everyday groceries, and toiletries.

The closest Farmer's Market is in Quepos, opposite Hotel Kamuk. Open Friday from 4:00-7:00 & Saturday morning from 7:00 – 1:00

Manuel Antonio Beach is full of artisans from all over the country. Their booths are conveniently set up along the beach so that after a day of fun and adventure, you can pick up souvenirs for all your family and friends without the hassle of going into town. If you want to be thorough we also recommend checking out the stores, you never know what you can find! Many hotels have small Souvenir Shops as well.

Manuel Antonio is slowly growing into somewhat of an art hub. Of course it's no wonder, given both the dazzling and subtle beauty of the area.
