People travel from all over the world to see Humpback Whales. Studies have shown that the Costa Rican shore is the place where these types of whales congregate while traveling from California to Chile. Winter is the time of the year when humpback whales travel from the Antarctic to the Tropics towards warm waters in order to raise their offspring. The best time to visit is during October and November as these are the months when whale sightings are highly likely.
